01 When should I start to plan my travel to Szeged? +

You are kindly requested not to make any travel arrangements before an approved registration. To complete the registration please contact us on our website or at office@rvair.hu. To start any flight training we will have to ask for a background check, which is a legal requirement by EASA and usually takes about 2-3 weeks to complete by the authorities.

02 How should I prepare for traveling to Szeged? +

Check local weather conditions. Hungary is in CET (UTC+1 in winter, UTC+2 in summer). From Budapest airport you can travel by car (rental options available), train (2 hours journey, 173km), or private shuttle service (Zöld Transzfer).

03 Which documents should I provide to the school? +

For existing FCL holders: FCL license, Medical certificate, Last 2-3 double pages of logbook, ICAO English certificate, Passport. For new students: Contact us to discuss details.

04 How can I attend an ICAO English exam? +

Book an appointment at englishcentre.eu for an online exam. If taking the exam elsewhere, ensure the certificate is approved by EASA.

05 Where can I take my theory exam? +

Currently, there is no option to take the theory exam in Hungary. The closest location is Vienna.

06 How can I get my initial Medical Certificate, or how can I get my existing one revalidated or renewed? +

Medical examination must be done according to EASA rules by an EASA-approved medical center. Medical Class I can only be done in specific approved medical centers.

07 How long is my ATPL theory credit valid? +

Based on Part-FCL.025, ATPL theoretical knowledge examinations will remain valid for 36 months after the last exam is completed. Based on the last validity date of an IR entered in the license, the ATPL theoretical knowledge examinations have a 7 year validity period.

08 How can I convert my non-EASA FCL to EASA FCL? +

According to EU Regulation No 1178/2011, you must: pass written examinations in Air Law and Human Performance, pass the PPL skill test, fulfill requirements for the relevant class/type rating, hold a valid EASA Medical certificate, demonstrate language proficiency (ICAO Level 4), and have completed at least 100 hours of flight time as a pilot.

09 How do I transfer to a different ATO if I have already started my ATPL Theory? +

First, ask for your syllabus from your current training organization. Once you have it and contacted us, we will handle the rest of the transfer process which must be approved by the Hungarian CAA for an administration fee.

10 How do I get started and apply to your flight school? +

11 Are there any additional costs not included in the course price? +

Yes. Some mandatory costs are paid directly to external providers, such as the EASA medical certificate, ICAO English exam, theoretical exams, and licence issuance fees. Apart from these, you would only need to cover your personal living expenses during training. We will guide you through all steps to keep the process simple and transparent.

12 How can I apply for a course? +

Pleasure / Sightseeing Flights

13 What is included in a sightseeing (pleasure) flight? +

The experience includes a pre-flight briefing and a scenic flight with one of our professional pilots, offering unique views of the surrounding area.

14 How long does the flight last? +

Flight duration can vary depending on the package you choose, typically ranging from 20 to 60 minutes.

15 Can I choose the route or customize the experience? +

Yes, routes can often be customized depending on weather conditions and operational limitations. Let us know your preferences in advance.

16 Is the flight private or shared with other passengers? +

Flights are typically private, but shared options may be available upon request.

17 What happens in case of bad weather? +

Safety is our priority. If weather conditions are not suitable, the flight will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

18 Can I offer this experience as a gift? +

Yes, we offer gift vouchers, making it a perfect experience for special occasions.
