FI(A) Course - Flight Instructor

Designed for pilots aiming to become certified flight instructors for Single Engine Piston (SEP) aircraft, while building valuable flight experience and teaching the next generation of pilots.

EASA Medical Class II Certificate or higher

ICAO English Level 4 Certificate or higher
Course Prerequisites

What You Need

01
Sep Hours

Minimum 30 hours on SEP aircraft, including 5 hours within the last 6 months

Vfr Cross Country

Minimum 20 hours of VFR cross-country flight on the appropriate aircraft category as PIC

Pre Entry Flight Test

Minimum 1 hour Pre Entry Flight Assessment with an authorized instructor

Applicants who have not yet completed this requirement may fulfill it through our training program.

Which path is yours?

EASA CPL(A) Holders

Direct Entry

Applicants holding a valid EASA CPL(A) are considered to meet the required experience criteria for entry into the FI(A) course, provided the entry requirements listed above are fulfilled.

No additional experience criteria

EASA PPL(A) Holders

Flight Time

Minimum 200 hours total flight time on aeroplanes or TMG, including 150 hours PIC. A VFR cross-country flight of at least 300 NM (540 km), during which full-stop landings at two different aerodromes (with ICAO codes) shall be performed as PIC

Theory Exams

Completed CPL or ATPL theoretical knowledge examinations

Theory Exams Note: Except for FI(A) instructors providing training for LAPL(A) only, applicants must have passed the CPL theoretical knowledge examinations, which may be taken without completing a CPL theoretical training course and do not grant eligibility for the issue of a CPL licence.
